The Cachar police on Thursday arrested six Bangladeshi nationals- all of whom are cattle smugglers- from near the India-Bangladesh border.

They were caught by the locals as they stepped into India and then they were handed over to the police.

Upon interrogation, the Bangladeshi nationals confessed that they came to India to smuggle cattle from Barak valley.

The arrested men have been identified as Jamal Ahmed, Hussain Ahmed, Samir Ahmed, Samil Ahmed, Rehana Ahmed, and Dipen Biswas.
