To prepare a comprehensive and tourist-friendly road map, the DC along with her team and a few renowned personalities visited some of the prominent tourism and archaeological sites across Sivasagar on Friday.
Noted historians Dr Dilip Buragohain and Jiten Borpatra Gohain also accompanied the DC in her quest.

The team visited several popular sites of the district like Gaurisagar tank and temple (doul), Namdang Silar Sako, Fakua Doul, Joysagar tank, Talatal Ghar, Rang Ghar etc.
The DC on Wednesday presented an action plan for boosting tourism in Sivasagar before Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal during his visit to the district.
CM Sonowal lauded Sivasagar district administration’s efforts and suggested to formulate a comprehensive plan for the same so as to revamp the sector.
Terming Sivasagar as “Soul of Assam”, CM Sonowal expressed his keen desire to see the district shining bright in the world tourism map.
