The Bharat Vikash Parishad (BVP), Dhubri Branch organised a quiz competition – Bharat Ko Jano – with an aim to inculcate an attitude among school students to know about the cultural heritage and knowledge about India in Dhubri on Sunday.

Twenty groups participated in the Junior Group of Class VI-VIII while in the Senior Group of Class IX-XII, a total of 18 groups participated.

In the Junior Group, Saumili Paul and Bhavna Chakraborty of Grade VIII of SP English Medium School, Dhubri stood first while Dhayan Bhowmik and Diganta Kashyap of Class VIII of Happy Convent School, Dhubri stood second. Ashutosh Ghosh and Lahar Das of Class VII of Sankardeo Shishu Vidya Niketan, Dhubri secured third position.

In the Senior Group, Atanu Saha and Snehasish Saha of Class X of SP English Medium High School, Dhubri stood first while Hrishikesh Das and Himanshu Shekhar Das of Class XI of SP Higher Secondary School, Dhubri secured second position. Aditiya Kr Sahani and Namrata Prasad of Class XII of Bhola Nath College, Dhubri secured the third position.

The programme was presided over by Pannalal Dutta, Dhubri district in-charge of BVP while Shusmita Sen Gupta, Head of Department of Chemistry and Dipendra Adhikary, retired Professor respectively of BN College, Dhubri and others were present on the occasion.

Prasanjit Roy, BVP regional convenor was also present as observer.
