A delegation of Congress will be visiting the Raha constituency after Congress MLA Sashi Kanta Das had openly extended his support to the BJP government.

Deputy Leader of the Opposition at the Assam Legislative Assembly, Rakibul Hussain said that a delegation comprising of legislators and senior leaders of the Congress have been directed to visit the Raha constituency to take stock of the situation.

The delegation will be meeting Congress leaders in two blocks in the constituency to make a report on why Sashi Kanta Das decided to extend his support to the BJP and the Chief Minister openly.

Hussain said that even though Das denied claims of him joining the BJP, his actions were seen as a betrayal to the party.
