The Reliance group has donated 20 kilograms of gold for the purpose so far and the work is likely to be completed before Diwali.

The main dome of the temple already has three small gold-plated pitchers. However, the new goldwork would be bigger in size.

Reliance Industries Ltd has sent its engineers and artisans for completing the project, which is being supervised by the Reliance Jewels.

Mohit Chandra Sarma, Bor Doloi of the temple, said that the copper plating work over the preexisting stone pitcher has already been completed.

He said the gold plating is likely to be completed before Diwali if the weather conditions permit.

“We are expecting the Ambani couple to visit the temple after the completion of the project. However, we have not yet received any official intimation about their visit,” Sarma said.
