Renowned social worker Lankeswar Nunisa(68), retired judge, subordinate court of NC Hills Autonomous Council (NCHAC), Dima Hasao, Haflong and former general secretary, JNH passed away at 4:03 pm on Friday at his own residence of Sainja Raji in Haflong.
He is survived by his wife and four 4 sons.
Following his demise, Dima Hasao district has lost one of its dedicated social activists.
L K Nunisa was associated with different social activities.
Late Nunisa was also a writer who composed some booklets; besides he wrote some articles and poem.
Nunisa’s demise is a great loss for Dimasa society.
Kalyan Daolagupu, President Jadikhe Naisoh Hosom, the Dimasa apex body, expressed his heartfelt condolences to the family of Nunisa.
On behalf of Haflong, Khurang Sukhen Phonglo conveyed condolence to Nunisa’s family.
Phonglo said, “We have lost one of our social reformers.”
Editor of Dima Hasao Post, Surjya Thaosen and Editor of Shailo Prabaho Pankaj Kumar Deb also expressed grief on Nunisa’s death and have conveyed their condolences to his family.
