Former chief justice of India (CJI) and Rajya Sabha MP Ranjan Goi has reacted to the privilege motion submitted against him by opposition parties.
Speaking on the matter, Ranjan Gogoi in an interaction with news agency ANI said: “Law will take its own course.”
Opposition parties including the Congress, TMC, Shiv Sena and the CPI-M have moved privilege motion against Ranjan Gogoi for his remarks that he attends Rajya Sabha sessions when he feels so.
Meanwhile, Ranjan Gogoi added that he will not attend proceedings of the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday.

“Not today. I was there on Monday and on Tuesday. Should be there tomorrow,” Ranjan Gogoi said.
“I go to the Rajya Sabha whenever I feel like it,” Justice Gogoi, who is a nominated MP of Rajya Sabha, had told NDTV in an interview recently.
Parliament records show that Justice Gogoi signed in for less than 10 per cent of all sittings since March 2020.
