Pranab Langthasa win Mr Dima Hasao, 2017 title

The 10th Dima Hasao Bodybuilding championship was held at the Cultural Institute hall in Haflong on Saturday. The championship was organized by Bodybuilding and Weightlifting Club of Haflong. Pranab Langthasa won the Mr Dima Hasao 2017 title while Susmita Sarma was crowned as the Miss Dima Hasao 2017. Sudip Dey of Haflong won the most improved bodybuilder title. Altogether 33 bodybuilders participated in the competition. Commanding officer of 43 Assam Rifle Col. Gagan Pandey was the chief guest on the occasion. In his speech Col. Gagan Pandey stressed the need for physical exercise to stay fit. He also appreciated Dima Hasao Body Builders’ Association for their role in popularizing the sports in the district.
