The Hatigaon police in Guwahati raided the house of Assam’s RTI activist Dulal Bora on Tuesday.
The police raided Bora’s house located at Koinadhara at 4 pm.
During the raid, according to sources, the police seized several incriminating documents including bank papers from Bora’s house.
RTI activist Bora was arrested by Hatigaon police on Saturday for allegedly blackmailing a motor vehicle inspector (MVI).

Bora was arrested on the basis of an FIR lodged by Naimuddin Ali, an MVI posted in Kamrup (Rural) district against Bora with Hatigaon police station, charging him of blackmailing.
In the FIR, Ahmed mentioned that Bora had demanded a sum of Rs 5 lakh from him.
However, Bora denied the charge against him and said he would take a legal course of action.
Sources further informed that the police had taken Bora in their custody for five days.
It may be mentioned that the controversial RTI activist drew the attention of the media by bringing allegations of corruption against a number of people.
He brought allegations against Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS) adviser Akhil Gogoi, Prakash Kashyap, an official at Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) and many others.
