With less than 20 days left for the first phase of Assam Assembly elections, PM Narendra Modi has bought an Axomiya Gamosa at Rs 1,950.

Narendra Modi bought the Gamosa online made by โ€œself-help groups of Kakatipapung Development Blockโ€.

Taking to twitter, Narendra Modi said: โ€œYou have seen me wear the Gamusa very often. It is extremely comfortable. Today, I bought a Gamusa made by various self-help groups of Kakatipapung Development Block.โ€

Narendra Modi also bought a traditional Naga shawl โ€“ the Ao shawl.

PM Modi tweeted: โ€œIndia is proud of the Naga Culture, synonymous with bravery, compassion and creativity. Purchased a traditional shawl from Nagaland.โ€

Modi said that he had brought the products on the occasion of International Womenโ€™s Day to encourage entrepreneurship among women.

โ€œWomen are playing a leading role in Indiaโ€™s quest to become Aatmanirbhar. On International Womenโ€™s Day, let us commit to encouraging entrepreneurship among women. Today, I bought a few products that celebrate women enterprise, creativity and Indiaโ€™s culture,โ€ Modi said.
