Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the convocation of Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati (IITG) on Tuesday.
In view of of the Covid-19 pandemic, the IIT,Guwahati will hold its 22nd convocation virtually.
A statement issued from the PMO on Tuesday said that Modi will address the convocation through video-conferencing at 12 p.m.
Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal, Union education minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank , Union Minister of State for Education Sanjay Dhotre and other dignitaries shall also participate in the event.
1,803 students including 687 BTech and 637 MTech students will be obtaining degrees on Tuesday.
The convocation ceremony will be streamed live on YouTube and Facebook.
