The president of All Bodo Students’ Union (ABSU), Promod Boro, feels that the people of Assam should bring a regional party to power as the “national political parties can never understand the problems as well as the sentiments of the indigenous people of the state”.

Boro, while addressing a meeting at Kabirali in Udalguri district on Wednesday, further stated that it is only a regional party which can make “mainstream India identify with the problems in this remote corner of the country”.
