People in different parts of Assam are complaining of massive load shedding. 

People took to social media to register their complaint against load shedding.

Many have said that due to load shedding, for several hours on daily basis, day to day work has been affected. 

People complained that electricity in several areas is being provided for only 3 to 4 hours. In many areas electricity is being provided for only 1 hour. 

“Lack of power supply from last 3 days in my area (Vill-Tikarpara, Nilambazar, dist-Karimganj.) My online final exams are going on, absence of electricity I can’t charge my laptop and phone. Even I couldn’t attend my exam. Kindly look into the matter,” a Twitter user urged the APDCL (Assam Power Distribution Corporation Limited).

Another Twitter user said: “Please look at the long power cuts. We are not able to work from home as well because of long power cuts.” 

Before starting something new, first you need to configure the existing system. Powercuts, Poor voltage and a bunch of them,” said another Twitter user.

Several such messages galore a tweet of the APDCL, wherein the company publicized Assam Power Minister Bimal Borah’s reviewing of “the functioning & future plans of Assam Power Distribution Co. Ltd. (APDCL), Assam Power Generation Corp. Ltd. (APGCL) and Assam Electricity Grid Corp. Ltd. (AEGCL) at Bijulee Bhawan on 25.05.2021.” 

However, the APDCL failed to respond to any of the complaints registered by people in its Twitter handle.
