Aunudoram Borooah Academy, one of the premier private educational institutions situated at Pathsala, has this year with their solo efforts published six lakh text books for the students.

It is learnt that 150 private institutions of various parts of Assam have already collected the books up to the class VIII standard for their schools.

The Aunudoram Borooah Academy which began its journey a couple of years back, is now drawing the attention of people of the State by such efforts.

Now, it needs no introduction to the people and students from various corners of the State. A number of students of this institution have shown outstanding results in the HSLC and higher secondary examination on many occasions.

Starting from pre-primary to the secondary level and having permission from Bodoland University for degree and post graduate degree, the institution has all level educational facilities now.

The school authorities decided for publication of books in 2014. Accordingly, text books for pre-primary to class V and class VI to class VIII were prepared by the expert team of teachers.

In 2015, they published books for 14 subjects across different classes.

In 2016 from the pre-primary up to class V and from class VI to class VIII they published books on English, Assamese, Hindi, Mathematics, Environment Science, Social Science and computer subjects.

In 2016, books on more subjects were published by the institution.

Now altogether textbooks on 74 subjects across all classes have been published.

It may be mentioned that earlier most of the private institutions collected their books from Axom Jatiya Bidyalaya.

Due to shortage of books in due time, the institutions are facing problems to distribute it among the students. But this year before beginning the new session, the institution published as many as six lakh books.

Dr Ranjit Deka, rector of the institution is hopeful that the text books will be a boon to the students of the State.
