Ranchi: Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, currently serving as the BJP’s co-in charge for the Jharkhand elections, affirmed India’s resolve to combat Pakistan-sponsored terrorism during his two-day visit to the state.

Addressing the media in Ranchi in response to the recent encounter in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir where four army personnel, including an officer, lost their lives, Sarma stated, “India will give a befitting reply to Pakistan-sponsored terrorism.”
“Peace has been restored in Jammu and Kashmir, and it is our responsibility to maintain it. We will counter every conspiracy of Pakistan,” the Assam CM stated.

Speaking about the upcoming assembly elections in Jharkhand, Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma exuded confidence that the BJP will secure victory in the state.
“The BJP will form a double-engine government again in Jharkhand by uprooting the current dispensation,” Sarma said.
