Attack on the vehicle Seoli Mohilary, wife of BTC chief Hagrama Mohilary, has been severely criticised by the Bodoland Peoples’ Front (BPF).

Stones were pelted on Seoli Mohilary’s vehicle on Thursday evening while she was returning after attending puja at Ultapani Shivadam temple in Kokrajhar.

Kokrajhar district BPF president Derhasat Basumatary along with executive members Doneswar Goyary and Rajib Brahma, attending a press meet on Saturday, said that the culprits must be caught and punished at the earliest.

“District administration must identify the culprits soon and take strict actions against them,” they said.

“This might be the handiwork of the opposition,” they alleged and said that pelting of stones was not a good sign at a time when BTC is all set for elections.

“The opposition is trying to create violence and take advantage in the election,” the alleged.
