Even though the new scheme of housing loan launched by the State Government for its employees has generated hopes for thousands of State Government employees in the State, the same is not going well in Rowta Chariali of Udalguri.
A government employee, Kimi Narzary, an assistant teacher of Lailongpara High School in Udalguri district, in a press statement alleged that as per the guidelines specified for the State Government housing loan under ‘Apun Ghar’, she submitted an application for the same to the Rowta Chairali branch of the State Bank of India way back in the second week of September, 2017.

Since then she has been approaching the bank from time-to-time to avail the loan scheme but even after fulfilling all the terms and conditions of the scheme, the Rowta Chariali branch of the bank has been delaying to award the loan for the last five months without specifying any satisfactory logic behind its delay.
The press release of the applicant appealed to the higher authority concerned to look into the matter and make the bank abide by the guidelines of the scheme.
