Two research scholars of the Department of Mass Communications and Journalism of Gauhati University have been selected for a project by Commonwealth Secretariat.
The two research scholars of Guahati University, Hoimawati Talukdar and Raja Das have been selected for the project launched by Commonwealth Secretariat to examine the impact of COVID-19 on education.
The project has been christened ‘OpenUpYourThinking’.
They are selected among 160 young researchers from across all 54 Commonwealth Nations.
They are the only selected from the Northeast.
‘OpenUpYourThinking’ is an ambitious research project in response to the current COVID-19 pandemic.
The project has nine educational work streams including looking at how governments are positioning and activating public institutions such as school systems in multi-pronged efforts to contain COVID-19; as well as how higher education institutions respond to the pandemic.
