Sensation prevails after an incident of stone attack on a night super bus took place at Demow in Sivasagar district on the eve of the 69th Republic Day celebrations in India in which three passengers were seriously injured.
According to information, unidentified miscreants attacked a Guwahati-bound night super bus, which was coming from Tezu in Arunachal Pradesh, by pelting stones at Rajmai area of Demow on the National Highway 37.

The registration number of the nigh super bus is AR-11A-3911.
Sources informed that the attack on the bus by pelting stones was so strong that the front side of the bus was completely damaged.
There were a total of 35 passengers travelling from the neighbouring State.

Three of the passengers were seriously injured as the miscreants hit the bus with stones.
All the injured passengers were admitted to the Demow Model Hospital for treatment.
Immediately after the incident, the Demow Police was informed about it.
A team of the Demow Police rushed to the spot where the incident of stone pelting on the bus took place.
Panic gripped all the passengers from Arunachal Pradesh as they had to face an unusual incident in the neighbouring State that too at night on the eve of the Republic Day celebrations.
There was also a hue and cry over the incident of stone pelting.
The passengers, who felt insecure, raised the question of lack of proper security in the area.
However, the Demow Police was able to control the situation.
