The last month of 2019 is just hours away.

Its time for people across the North-east to start planning for the Christmas and year-end celebrations.

But keep a tab on bank holidays, so that you don’t run out of cash in time of need.

Banks across the north-eastern region will be closed for a total of nine days in December 2019.

There may also be a shortage of cash in ATM machines also due to bank holidays.

In December, five days will be a holiday on five Sundays.

While December 14 is second Saturday and December 28 is fourth Saturday when banks will remain closed.

On December 25, there will be a holiday for banks on Christmas, while on December 26, banks will be closed for Boxing Day in some north-eastern states.

Overall, banks will have nine days off in December.
