Nagaland recorded one Covid-19 death and 11 fresh cases on Sunday. Altogether 21 people recovered from to the infection in the last 24 hours, the health and family welfare department said.
Of the new cases, Kohima reported 4, Dimapur and Mokokchung 3 each and Tuensang 1.

Among the recoveries, Dimapur registered 13, Tuensang 6 and Mokokchung 2.
Meanwhile, the department stressed the need for all eligible people to get vaccinated against Covid-19 as vaccines remain highly effective in preventing severe disease and deaths due to the virus.
In its weekly bulletin released on Saturday, the department said the deaths were being observed disproportionately among the unvaccinated. For maximum protection from the virus, it emphasized getting both doses of the Covid-19 vaccine.

The department said as of October 30, 12,201464 of Covid-19 vaccine doses have been administered across the state.
The state’s weekly sample positivity rate stood at 2.8% with all the districts reporting weekly positivity rate below 5% except for Wokha at 6.6%.
