Sources further said YMA cadres camped at Shanti Basti area in Singoa on Saturday.
Assam police confronted YMA cadres and asked them to leave the area. But the YMA cadres refused to budge and continued to hurl abuses at the police force, sources said.
Few moments later, Cachar deputy commissioner Keerthi Jalli along with deputy superintendent of police (DSP), border, SK Hazarika also reached Khulichara to take stock of the situation.
