A magisterial inquiry has been ordered over the five prisoners deaths that took place in the past eight days at the high-security Tihar Jail in Delhi.

Although jail authorities have claimed that the deaths occurred due to natural causes, a magisterial inquiry under the Section 176 of the CrPC has been ordered.

As per some reports, even on Friday, an inmate was found unconscious in his cell at the Tihar Jail no 3.

He was immediately taken to a hospital but the doctors declared him dead.

He allegedly died because of health issues as per jail authorities.

The authorities informed that the deceased prisoner was identified as Vikram.

The authorities also claimed that the deaths took place due to health-related issues and not due to any kind of violence.

The circumstances reportedly indicated natural causes like old disease or other unknown reasons.
