Government official said the students left for their home by buses.

At last 1,400 students from Assam and Haryana left for their home state from Rajasthan’s Kota district on Friday morning amid nationwide Covid 19 lockdown.

Government official said the students left for their home by buses. “Eighteen buses carrying students from Assam have left for the state,” said an Assam government official.

Nearly 1,000 students from Haryana left for home and about 400 students from Assam have started the journey towards their home state.

The official said that Assam government had hired buses from private operators to take the students from the state back home.

Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlit last week had said that Assam government will transport their people from Kota.

“At least 50 students from Dadra and Nagar Haveli and six from Diu had left Kota in three buses on Thursday noon, while students from Bundi, Jhalawar and Baran in Rajasthan were dispatched in 10 buses on Thursday night,” said ADM (administration), Kota Narendra Gupta.
