All Assam Tchoukball Association (AATBA) observed second Martyrs Biki Alchiary and Sansuma Khungur Basumatary memorial Tchoukball tournament cum first Bihu Bwisagu farewell in Kokrajhar of Assam.

The two-day long colourful programme held at Karigaon Jwhwlao Dwimalu playground concluded in Kokrajhar.

Speaking to Northeast Now, Ashok Goyary, general secretary of the All Assam Tchoukball Association (AATBA) said that the Association observed second Martyrs Biki Alchiary and Sansuma Khungur Basumatary memorial Tchoukball tournament and that the 1st Bihu Bwisagu farewell Bhidai successfully concluded in Kokrajhar.

He said that as many as eight districts of the State participated in the second Martyrs Biki Alchiary & Sansuma memorial Tchoukball tournament and South Kamrup defeated by one points by Guwahati team and it was a very entertaining game.

Goyaray said that they have also organized competition likes, quiz, single dance, dual dance, bihu dance and others community culture in the two-day tournament progamme.

Daisy Basumatary, the second runner up in Miss Sriya India was felicitated with aernai and bouquet in the open session ceremony.

Ashok Goyary further said that the AATBA has been working hard to make tchoukball game popular in the state.

He also that due to their initiative, the game has been developing in Kokrajhar as well as other districts of the State.

He also advocated that more coaching centres need to be establish in the state so that people will come to know the game of tchoukball.
