The fifth edition of Baokhungri Festival will be hosted in Kokrajhar district from April 12.
The festival is being hosted by the Baokhungri Festival Organizing Committee under the sponsorship of BTC.
A meeting of the committee was held on Tuesday at BTC Secretariat with Executive Member of Sports and Youth Welfare, BTC, Doneswar Goyary heading the meeting. It was also decided that hill trekking, traditional games competition on Khomlainai, Gila, Batha, Daobo Aithing, live cock fight, ethnic food festival and cultural extravaganza will also be organized as part of the festival..
People from various parts of the country will take part in the hill trekking competition.
Meanwhile, preparations are going on in full swing for smooth running of the festival. Sources said over 100 stalls have been erected this year for ethnic food festival while roads for hill trekking have been cleared. Apart from these, paragliding is also a highlight at the festival.
