Flood has been wreaking havoc in Assam and along with humans, the animals have also suffered a lot.
So far over a 100 animals have died in floodwaters in Kaziranga National Park (KNP), apart from several others rendering homeless.

On Sunday morning, the KNP officials rescued a 3-4 day-old rhino calf, which might have got separated from it mother.
The rhino calf was taken to the CWRC for further observations.
The Kaziranga officials will also try their best to unite the calf with its mother.

The rescue of the calf was informed in a tweet by KNP.
“A 3-4 days old rhino baby was rescued by our staff at 10:30 am today and was taken to our rescue centre CWRC for further observations. All possible efforts will be taken to reunite him with his mother,” the tweet said.
