A delegation of various organizations from Karbi Anglong district led by MLA, Diphu Sum Ronghang met Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Saturday.
The delegation submitted a memorandum regarding various demands to the Chief Minister including implementation of Article 244 (A) of the Constitution of India.

The CM assured the delegation that he would carefully look into their demands. He informed them that Assam Government gives top priority to equal development of all areas of the state irrespective of hills and plains.
“Development of the hill districts is always a priority for the government and we have already initiated a number of schemes in this regard”, he informed adding that all government schemes are uniformly executed to bring out overall development of the state.
Two Executive Members, KAAC and several Members of the Autonomous Council also accompanied the delegation.
