Assam’s Jamuna Boro on Thursday stormed into semi finals in the 54 kg category of Women’s World Boxing Championships.

Boro defeated fourth-seed Yuliya Apanasovich of Belarus by a split verdict 4-1, and has assured India of at least another bronze medal.

Earlier, Jamuna Boro had defeated fifth-seeded Algerian Ouidad Sfouh to make it to the quarter finals.
