NorthEast United FC get ready to face Goa FC on Friday at Fatorda stadium in Goa.

The NorthEast United FC, which fought ATK to a goalles draw in their Indian Super League (ISL) encounter in Guwahati on Sunday, are on the second spot in the table with 20 points from 11 games.

For NorthEast United FC (NEUFC), Friday’s match against Goa FC will be a fight to put it on the top of the table. The soccer team from Northeast is eagerly waiting for the game with lots of excitement.

Uploading a promo of Friday’s game on its official Twitter handle on Thursday, NEUFC stated: “It’s a clash at the top end of the table that promises goals, drama and lots of excitement!”

In their last match with Goa FC which was its opener of the season’s Indian Super League held on on October 1, 2018, NorthEast United played out a riveting 2-2 draw at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium in Guwahati.

On the positive side of their last match against Goa FC, NEUFC also tweeted on Thursday that “Gallego’s quick thinking, Keegan’s inch perfect cross and Bartholomew Ogbeche’s towering header were the highlights as we faced FC Goa” in their season opener.

MEUFC tweeted: “We should brace ourselves for another cracker at the Fatorda tomorrow!”

On the other hand, Goa FC’s forward Ferran Corominas, commonly known as Coro and a Spanish footballer started his Hero ISL 2018-19 campaign with a brace against NEUFC. He was adjudged the Hero of the Match.

On Sunday, NEUFC played third consecutive draw in this year’s edition.

After playing draws against Jamshedpur FC and Bengaluru FC, NEUFC were forced to share the spoils again on Sunday.
