The Indian Air Force band performed a live concert at the War Memorial in Guwahati’s Dighali Pukhuri on Monday.
The live concert was organized as a part of the nationwide celebration of the Independence Day 2020 and also to honour and salute the Covid19 warriors.

“A total of 26 Covid warriors from Covid Care Hospital attended the live band concert duly maintaining all Covid protocols,” Guwahati-based defence PRO Lt Col P Khongsai said in a statement.
The Air Force band played mesmerising tunes in line with the surrounding picturesque memorial and lake and was appreciated by all, Khongsai said.
The Covid warriors expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the armed forces for encouraging them and boosting their morale while performing their duties.

On Monday, India’s COVID19 tally has increased to 18,03,696 including 5,79,357 active cases, 1,186,203 cured/discharged/migrated.
A total of 38,135 positive patients have succumbed to COVID19 infections in India so far, according to the health ministry.
