To mark the celebrations of India’s 75th Independence Day, Assam State AIDS Control Society (ASACS) under the guidance of the National AIDS Control Organization (NACO) will launch a campaign HIV, TB and blood donation from August 12.
The campaign on HIV, TB and blood donation awareness will be launched in different phases.

For the awareness campaigns, adolescents and youth of selected government schools and colleges will be engaged at the state and district levels.
The campaign will include various activities which would inculcate safe behavioural practices and reduce the menace of stigma & discrimination related to HIV and comorbidities.
The 1st Phase of the campaign will be launched online centrally by the National AIDS Control Organization (NACO) under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare by Union health minister Mansukh Mandaviya.

The campaign will be held in hybrid mode (online/offline) and in the form of various competitions amongst students of selected schools (Class IX & Class XI) and colleges.
The competitions include poster making competition, one-minute video for social media, debate competition, face painting, quiz competition, etc.
The competitions will be on HIV/TB/blood donation.
The campaign would cover 75 schools and colleges in 3 phases starting from August 12, 2021 on the International Youth Day.
Each selected college and school will conduct 3 competitions.
For the smooth run of the campaign, state-level and district-level committees have been formed which will run the campaign in the selected schools and colleges across the state.
