Bronze medallist at Tokyo Olympics 2020, Assam’s boxer Lovlina Borgohain on Monday said she would aim for a gold medal in Paris Olympics 2024.
Borgohain said this after her return to the country on Monday.

She won a bronze medal in the women’s 69kg category.
The boxer won the bronze medal after she lost the women’s welterweight (64-69kg) semi-final bout to Turkey’s Busenaz Surmeneli in the Tokyo Olympics.
Surmeneli defeated her by a unanimous decision of 5-0.

Along with other medallists at Tokyo Olympics 2020, Borgohain was felicitated by the Union sports ministry in New Delhi.
Lovlina along with other medallists were felicitated by Union sports minister Anurag Thakur and Union law & justice minister Kiren Rijiju.
While speaking at the felicitation programme, Lovlina’s head coah Shiv Singh said: “The bronze medal in boxing at Tokyo Olympics is a commendable achievement.
After her arrival in Delhi, Lovlina Borgohain tweeted: “Really happy to be back after winning an Olympic medal for my country.”
