The Emergency Response Support System (ERSS) of Tripura police successfully rescued two young girls of Tripura while they were being trafficked out of the state.
Speaking to Northeast Now a police officer from rescued team informed that one of the rescued girls is from Dhalai district and the other is a mother of a child.
The rescued girls were being taken to Bangalore when they were rescued.
Police said that the duo was lured with a better job and secured life.
The two girls were supposed to board a flight on October 20 and travel to Bangalore for the job they were assured.
However, one of the relatives of the girls got suspicious and he informed the police about the incident.
Acting swiftly on the information, the ERSS team intercepted the girls at the airport and rescued them.
The police are investigating the case.
