Three prestigious higher educational institutions of Guwahati – Cotton University, Handique Girls’ College and B. Borooah College – failed to secure a single rank in arts and science streams in the Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) Examinations 2019, the results of which were declared on Saturday.
A quiet atmosphere prevailed today on the premises of Cotton University even after the declaration of results of HSSLC 2019.
A fourth grade employee of the university said that the educational institution is closed today as it is the fourth Saturday of May 2019.
The students of the university are shocked because not a single professor or office staff can be seen today in the university premises even when the results of one of the main examinations have been declared.
It may be mentioned that 589 students of the university appeared for the science stream in the HSSLC examinations this year.
