The monsoon trough runs over north and Northeastern states including Assam and Arunachal Pradesh on Sunday morning.

The low pressure area and related cyclonic circulation are over Sikkim and adjoining area on Sunday morning and will gradually weaken from Monday onward, The Weather Channel reported.

The low pressure area will cause fairly widespread to widespread rain and thunderstorms with isolated heavy rain over Northeastern India on Sunday and Monday.

Heavy rainfall is likely over isolated places of Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya on Sunday, and over isolated places of Assam, Meghalaya and Andhra Pradesh on Monday.

Dry weather has been predicted over northwest India from Monday, September 28 onward.

Minimum temperatures will be warmer or slightly warmer than average over Northern India, Western India, Central India, Eastern India and North Eastern.
