Guwahati got the first road constructed by using 1.24 MT of plastic waste. The road has been constructed in Narangi Military Stationa rea of the city.
This is a pilot project of the Military Engineer Services for road construction.

PRO Guwahati, Ministry of Defence tweeted, “In line with the Govt’s mission against #singleuse plastic and initiative to reduce, reuse and recycle plastic waste, 1.24 MT of waste plastic has been used to construct a road in Narangi Military Station which is a pilot project of MES for road construction.”
