Guwahati designer Kanchan More Sabharwal showcased her collection ‘North East Breeze’ at this year’s Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort (LFW) 2019.
Kanchan showcased free-flowing silhouettes with superior designs and textures. The feminine collection mesmerizingly captured the imagination of the archetypical fashion connoisseurs.
The collection was embellished with natural fabrics keeping classic Indian wear and India’s punitive summers in mind, which would allow women to opt for these designs.
The varied collection included backless tops, loose pants, skirts and maxi dresses. The dresses were in earthy, metallic tones. The highlight of the show was the multicoloured quilted skirt.
‘Jai Ho’ famed Bollywood actor Daisy Shah walked the ramp as the showstopper for Kanchan, in a pale-green, Eri Silk gown with drapes and pleats.
“North East Breeze line is for all fashion trendsetters who wish to satisfy their inner Goddesses”, Kanchan says.
This five-day fashion extravaganza took place from January 30 to February 3, at Jio Garden, Bandra-Kurla Complex in Mumbai.
The event was organized by IMG Reliance Ltd in collaboration with Lakme, with the aim to encourage and inspire talent, artistry, design and technology.
