The Regional Transport Authority (RTA) on Wednesday was directed by the Gauhati High Court to submit an affidavit regarding the management of city bus services of Guwahati.
The Court asked several questions to the transport commissioner regarding the unruly traffic management system in Guwahati.
Questions like non-implementation of traffic laws, poor management of traffic etc were asked to the traffic commissioner by the GHC.
The court further asked the RTA to provide details about ASTC buses and said in the next hearing the authority must inform the court whether these buses follow the rules and regulations or not.
The court also asked the RTA to provide a permanent place for the street vendors.
