Criticising Congress for protesting against CAA, the minister further said, “It was the Congress that allowed illegal Bangladeshis to settle in Assam, especially in Kaziranga National Park (KNP).”
“So on what ground is it protesting against CAA now?” Sarma asked.
To counter against the growing anti-CAA protests rallies in Assam, the BJP has also been organising rallies across the state in support of the Act.
The party has been trying to make people understand about the Act.
In the rallies, the BJP has been constantly saying that the opposition, especially the Congress, is misleading the people regarding CAA.
