Strengthening its fight against COVID-19, Assam government would soon make operational two new COVID care centres in the state in Sonapur near Guwahati.
The centres will be opened at Assam Don Bosco University and & Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education (LNIPE).

The Don Bosco centre will have 350 beds while the LNIPE centre will have 150 beds.
In a tweet, state health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “Two new COVID Care Centres are going to be functional soon in Sonapur, one each at Assam Don Bosco University (350-bed) & Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education (150-bed). ”
“Visited both the sites to take stock of ongoing work & preparations,” the tweet added.
