Several huts were gutted in a fire that broke out at Pan Bazaar railway colony in Guwahati on Thursday morning.

As per reports, the fire broke out near Kalimandir Path near the railway colony in the city.

Two fire tenders reached the spot and managed to bring the fire under control, said an official.

However, the reason for the fire is yet to be ascertained, he said.

No casualties have been reported so far.

Local residents said that a short circuit was the reason behind the fire.
