Fake currency racket busted in Assam

Two members of a fake currency gang in police custody

Police on Wednesday arrested two members of a notorious fake currency gang from Fakirpara area under Dhula police station in Darrang district.

Six hundred fake currency notes of Rs 500 denomination were also recovered from their possession.

The duo has been identified as Jakir Hussain and Abdul Kuddus.

They are residents of Borjhar village under Dalgaon police station.

A case has been registered against the two with the Dhula police station and the police are investigating the case.
