Different places in Assam and Arunachal Pradesh on Sunday evening experienced an earthquake of Magnitude 4.1 on the Richter Scale at 5:52 pm.
Confirming the news, the National Center for Seismology (NCS) on its Twitter handle said the earthquake occurred in Nagaon at a depth of 25 km (Latitude: 26.53 and Longitude: 92.58).

Earlier on the day at 10:06 am, an earthquake of Magnitude 4.2 on the Richter Scale occurred 77 km south-east of Mokokchung in Nagaland.
The earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 km beneath the epicentre.
