Basishta Police apprehended a drug peddler from Saukushi region in Guwahati during an operation on Friday night.
The accused has been identified as one Sarifuddin Ahmed.
He is a resident of Medattari region of Barpeta.
According to reports, police have seized 24 containers of drugs, two mobile phones and a motor-bike bearing registration number AS-01-DZ-2944.
The accused, it is learnt, had confessed that he had brought the drugs to supply the same to one youth at Beharbari.
Police managed to nab him before he could deliver the consignment.
