Dibrugarh MLA wants Bogibeel bridge to be rechristened as Atal Setu

Dibrugarh legislator Prashanta Phukan wanted the Bogibeel bridge to be named after the former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee as Atal Setu.

Paying tribute to Atal Bihari Vajpayee at the party office at Dibrugarh, Phukan said naming the Bogibeel bridge as “Atal Setu’ would be a befitting tribute to the tallest leader of the country.

Another BJP leader Parag Dutta said that naming the bridge as ‘Atal Setu’ will be a real tribute to the true Indian statesman.

He formally started the construction work of Bogibeel bridge at a function at the historic Chowkidinghee grounds, Dibrugarh on April 21, 2002.
