The Assam government will take a decision on reopening of cinema halls within 15 days.
This was informed by Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday.
CM Sarma said that a decision on re-opening of cinema halls will be taken only if COVID number in the state stay low.He said that the state government will monitor the COVID scenario in the state for the next fifteen days and arrive at decision in regards to re-opening of cinema halls in the state.

Cinema halls in Assam have remained close since April owing to the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic.
Earlier this week, the Assam government had announced a slew of relaxations in the state following improvement in the COVID situation.

While night curfew timings across Assam was relaxed to only 8 hours (9pm to 6am), inter-district public transport services have also been allowed to operate.
