Assam has registered 4 more COVID19 positive cases on Thursday taking the total to 203.
Confirming the news, Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said all the infected patients are from the quarantine centre at Sarusajai Stadium in Guwahati.
Health minister Sarma informed that while 2 of the COVID19 positive patients are from the West Karbi Anglong district, the two others are from Darrang and Udalguri districts.
“Alert ~ Four persons reported #COVID19 positive from Sarusajai Quarantine Centre – 2 belong to West Karbi Anglong; 1 each from Darrang and Udalguri,” health minister Sarma tweeted at 8 pm on Thursday.
With the new cases, the active COVID19 cases registered in Assam increased to 142.
Earlier, a total of 54 COVID19 patients were discharged from various hospitals across the state after their recovery.
On Thursday, 6 patients were discharged from two different hospitals in Assam after their recovery.
Two patients were discharged from the Mahendra Mohan Choudhury Hospital (MMCH) at Panbazar in Guwahati and four other patients were discharged from Silchar Medical College Hospital (SMCH) in Cachar district of Assam’s Barak Valley.
While the deadly disease has claimed the lives of 4 persons in Assam, 3 cases migrated from the state.
“Total cases 203. Recovered 54. Active cases 142. Deaths 04. Migrated 03,” health minister Sarma added.
