Assam has registered 23 more new COVID19 cases taking the state’s total to 666.
Confirming the news, Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said in a tweet at 11 pm on Tuesday that the infected patients are from Kamrup Metro, Nagaon and Darrang districts.
Health minister Sarma informed that 21 positive cases have been detected in Kamrup Metro district while the two other cases have been detected in Nagaon and Darrang districts.
“Alert ~ 23 new cases of #COVID19+ reported. 21 Kamrup Metro, 1 each Nagaon & Darrang,” health minister Sarma tweeted.
Within 23 hours on Tuesday, a total of 127 positive cases have been registered in Assam.
With the new cases, the number of active COVID19 cases has increased to 597 in Assam.
“Total cases 666. Recovered 62. Active cases 597. Deaths 04. Migrated 03,” Sarma added.
