India has so far recorded a total of 4,314 confirmed COVID19 positive cases with 118 deaths.
In its COVID19 media bulletin, the health and family welfare department of Assam said according to the WHO, the recent COVID19 epidemic has affected 205 countries and territories around the world.
Globally, 1,288,080 confirmed cases have been recorded with the death toll has risen to 70,567.
Till date, a total 36,691 passengers have been screened at different airports across Assam.
While, 28,860 passengers were screened at LGBI Airport in Guwahati, 3,497 passengers were screened at Mohanbari Airport, Dibrugarh; 2,877 in Roroiya Airport, Jorhat; 1,262 in Kumbhir gram Airport, Silchar; 764 in Lilabari Airport, Lakhimpur and 114 passengers at Salonibari Airport, Tezpur.
According to the bulletin, till date, a total of 14,466 passengers were screened at land port in Darranga(Baksa), Mankachar (South Salmara) and Sutarkandi (Karimganj).

A total of 149,191 people have been screened at different railway stations in Assam.
Till Monday, a total of 112,528 people have been screened at different places in Assam, said the bulletin
A total of 78,774 travellers from COVID19 affected countries and states in India have been identified and out of them, 9,457 numbers of passengers have completed observation period for 28 days and remaining 67,317 are under home isolation, it said.
“Till date, 1,999 samples were tested, 2 samples were sent to MV Pune for testing and result found negative; 1074 samples were sent to Virological Lab GMCH, Guwahati and out of 1074, 14 found positive for COVID-19 and 900 were negative,” said the bulletin.
According to the bulletin, 538 samples were sent to RMRC, Lahowal in Dibrugarh and out of those, only 1 was found positive for COVID-19 and 537 were tested negative; 167 samples were sent to JMCH, Jorhat out of which 9 were found positive for COVID19 and 155 were tested negative.
While 151 samples were sent to SMCH, Silchar and out of those, 2 were found positive for COVID19 and 148 were found negative.
A total of 67 samples were sent to FAAMCH, Barpeta and all were found negative.
Meanwhile, 104 (Sarathi) and Control Room has been established on shift basis for receiving call and guidance and till date, 8,145 calls were received and information provided.
The border districts of Baksa, Chirang, Kokrajhar and Udalguri are on COVID19 surveillance.
The state has strengthened the surveillance and control measures against the disease.
The health & family welfare department with the help of the district administrations have identified Mass Quarantine facilities across the state for keeping approximately 7,215 persons.
According to the bulletin, there are a total of 439 ICU beds available in government hospitals and private hospitals and 240 numbers of ventilators are available in government hospitals and private hospitals.
Till date 394,275 persons have been surveyed and 1,914 persons have been identified who came in contact with COVID19 positive cases and kept under home surveillance as they are asymptomatic.
